DID YOU KNOW ???...........
Many countries require travelers to have at least 6 months of remaining validity on their passport in order to gain entry. If you're planning a trip for September but your Passport expires in July. Sorry You won't be able to get in. ( sad face ) Moral of the story CHECK YOUR PASSPORT. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS LEFT BEFORE IT EXPIRES !! If need be you can renew by mail or in person.

The number 1 Reason for application process delay is a bad photo. ( Get your selfie game up, just kidding ) You don't want to send a photo that is too light or too dark, too big or too small, too old or too low quality and don't wear glasses. ( I know its alot to take in. ) The best thing to do is have your photo taken somewhere that specializes in passport photos. CVS and Walgreens do.
You also want to make sure you have proper proof of citizenship. Proper proof would be considered as :
1) Official Birth Certificate.
2) Valid Drivers license.
3) Your old passport ( as long as its not 15 years old )
4)Certificate of Naturalization
5) Government ID
6) Military ID
